History and Holly Home Tour Sunday, December 3

Like any city founded more than two centuries ago, Covington boasts a rich history. That’s why you don’t want to miss this year’s History & Holly Home Tour, Covington holiday tradition. “We do it every year as a family. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season,” said one longtime Covington resident at last year’s event.

The tour is a short walk in the area of S. America St. and S. Jahncke Ave., featuring homes from the early 1900’s and later. Tickets may be purchased in advance a stores, including the Southern Hotel, Braswell Drugs, an Covington City Hall, or at bontempstix.com. The event will take place on December 3rd from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Day of event tickets will also be available.

Covington Heritage Foundation President Verret said the tour came out the organization’s mission to preserve Covington’s culture, character, and community, and it serves as the foundation’s primary fundraiser to underwrite its many educational programs.
