The Process: Verification is for your home that you believe to be at least 100 years old and can take 3-4 weeks. The initial $60 fee covers the costs to perform the necessary research and verify the age of the property. You will be notified once complete and will receive a link to select the material of and purchase your historic home placard. You must be a CHF member to purchase a Historic Home CHF placard.

Will the plaque affect my homeowner’s insurance or restrict renovations?

The process can take up to four months for the bronze plaque, as they are made in the United Kingdom. The aluminum plaques can take six weeks.
